SCN blog as a notepad?

There is a strange recent trend in the blogs - it seems that some people are using them as sort of a personal notepad. Here are just a few examples (all by different users): exhibit A, exhibit B and exhibit C.

While these "blogs" seem to do no harm, they do show up in a blog roll and are probably polluting everyone's Twitter/RSS/etc. feeds. Also re-posting old information from SCN in a blog just does not add any value (if I was the site's owner, I wouldn't want this in my database). My concern regarding such "blogs" is that they just add to the "noise" and to overall degradation of the content quality.

But since it's 3 different people, I keep wondering what would posess them to create such "blogs"? Lack of awareness about bookmarks on SCN, Google documents and other tools? Lack of clear navigation to Wiki and code snippets (one "blog" was just a piece of code)? Lack of understanding what the blog is?

Also these were posted in the "personal" blog space. Is there perhaps lack of information of what it is and what it's for? Do people think they can post just whatever they please there (hopefully no points are given for that)? Should such spaces be excluded from the feeds / blog list? Actually do we even need such "personal" blogs on SCN? (All general musings can now be posted in Coffee Corner.)
