Can I add a powerpoint file, or a video file under news in CM-Explorer?

Hello,

Yes you can. The most convinient way is to upload the powerpoint to a km location. Open it in this location and save the URL. If you make the news make a short description with a link ( using the URL just stored).

This way a user clicking the news item by accident does not need to wait until the powerpoint is loaded. Anly by specific request it is loaded.

Under "News"?

So, some clarifications:

A) Yes, you can upload each kind of file into KM (for example by using the AdminExplorer).

B) If you use the news-explorer, you cannot do this directly, but theoretically by using an attachement upload. This depends on the XML form used.

C) Under "News" you normally work with XMLForms (see B), but at the same time, noone stops you to use this folder to put in files different than XMLForms (see A). But doing so might make no sense, for the News folder normally is used by the NewsExplorer/NewsBrowser.
