Hi

You can create another factory calender with Saturday and Sunday as working day, and assign it to the work center. And this considers these days in scheduling.

But problem is this consideration work for both planned order and production order, i feel there is not option to select different calender for planned and production orders. There is no such option for planned orders in OPU5 for scheduling.

Hi Sharat,

Thanks for your helpful answer, what is the advantage and disavantage of this if I create a new calendar and assign to work center? what will be the inpact to the business?

You said that this will be applied to both planned and production orders. So  when I create a production order, saturday and sunday will be consider also and will calculate capacity?

Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

Yes you are right, Saturday and Sunday are also considered as working days for production order, and also considered in capacity planning. So this scheduling will apply through out production execution and capacity planning.

No disadvantage, if business needs it. If business wants to schedule planned order om weekends and production execution and capacity planning, then this will not hold good, but as you expresses, you are right, when business want to schedule planned order on weekends obviously the requirement may be to execute also on weekends.

Best regards,
