SSM 10 - Goal diagram KPI status indicators issue

Former Member

Hello,

We are using Strategy management 10.0 SP 4 an we have reached a problem that we can't solve.

When trying to view the Goal diagram, we can see everything but the status indicators, not only on the main schema, but also when accesssing the objectives and a pop-up comes out. Those colored red/green/yellow dots never seem to appear.

We have found a SAP note regarding this issue "1703050 - Status indicators are not displayed on goal diagrams in Strategy Management".

The job is running, but although user Anonymous already existed, it seems that the job is scheduled to run with user Guest.User Guest was locked.

We unlocked it and rescheduled the CalculateScorecardJobs again.. Some data appeared in the CPMS_SCORE_STATUS table, but it seems it is only for the model created in Cubebuilder, not for the ones created in PAS.

I tried on several computers with different versions of java and internet explorer, still not displayed. So it's a problem of loading data in that table.. no useful data is present.

Please help us, I can't really find a way to solve this!

Million thanks,

Andreea D.

Dear Andreea,

As seen in the support incident that you have opened for this issue, the command:

SHO LATEST

was indicating the wrong date.

After fixing this, the status indicators became available on the diagram.

Hello Andreea,

Can you please confirm that the option to Display Scorecard Status is enabled in the Diagram Manager,

In Admin go to Context Management>Manage Strategy>Strategy Defaults and from within the Diagram Manager select Action > Properties.

As well please confirm that the last date for the model is up to date. The goal diagram displays data based on the LastDate document in PAs, not the date selected in the Scorecard tab.

Is there any information in the NetWeaver Java Default trace that the CalculateScorecardJobs ran successfully or not?

Hello Graham and thanks for trying to help!

I've checked and the Display scorecard status is enabled. The lastdate is set to 2012/08/31 because this is the last month with available data (we are still in development).

As for the CalculateScorecardJobs, i am seeing in Log Viewer that it is completed.

can you confirm that I can find the  trace files here:  /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/<instance_name>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log ?

I don't know where I can find NetWeaver Java Default trace.

Thank you so much!

Hello Andreea,

Yes the default trace will be in /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/<instance_name>/j2ee/cluster/server<n>/log

As well there should be an applications_00.log and between these 2 you shoudl be able to confirm that the job ran successfully or not.

Hello Graham,

It seems that an exceptions is thrown:  java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1 , please see the code below.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ivuykzpk7rjucq4/default%20trace.txt

What can I do now? I have searched the SAP notes, and all the similar problems I have found (which were posted for other programs/issues) are solved with updating Netweaver AS Java. We have the SAP NW AS Java 7.3 EHP 1.

Thank you,

Andreea

Hello Andreea,

Can you please try the following;

1) uncheck the option to display status indicators in the goal diagram

2) save and unpublish the goal diagram

3) go back in and enable the option to display status indicators

3) save and publish the goal diagram

Hello Andreea,

I would recommend opening a Support incident at this time. I believe it would be beneficial if a support engineer could connect to your system via WTS to investigate this further.

Once last longshot before you contact support. You aren't using a custom image that is a bitmap are you? If so use a png or jpg file.

Hello,

Yes, we are using a png file.

In the meantime I can see SSM 10 SP5 has been released, and I will try to update both SSM and SAP Netweaver . Don't know if it will solve the problem, but I will try this first (at least it will solve other problems).

Thank you, I will keep you informed.
