Selection fields not visible in the InfoPackage

Hi All,

I have created a Generic Datasource using a View and made 5 fields as selection fields. I have replicated the same datasource in BI and created a Infopackage for the Datasource. In the infopackage in the selection tab, i can see only 2 fields.

I have tested it by running the datasource in RSA3, i can see all 5 fields in the selection. In the RSA2 also the property is been set for these 5 fields.

Please suggest if any other settings needs to be set, so that i can see all 5 fields in the section tab of infopackage.

The fields which are not showing are DATAB, DATBI and GUID_PR.

Hi, i know this is to late. The problem was probably soved somehow. but i had a simialr problem my self.

Whilst i activated the "Selection button" for the datasoure on Source Systems, it never became visible on my BW-System as Selection Option with the infopackage.

The key the solve the problem ist to have a look at the "Proposal" Fieldlist with the data source.
if you click here on "Selection" you have it in your IP available.

Hi Bala,

In Rso2 --> display filed list click it, you can see the data source fields there we have option selection field u need check the option..then u can see the fields in IP.

Hai Balachander,

For infopackage selections we need to select one option in DATASOURCE.  Open your datasource in edit mode and goto 'Fields' tab.  There locate your field, in that tab you can find last three columns (Selection, Selection Option, Field type), in Selection column we have to chose whether a particular field is required selection or not and also need to select options (selection is based in Between/Equal/etc.).  Please try this ....

Please check in delta setting for generic datasource.which field you are considering there.

the datatype of the fields DATAB,DATBI and GID_PR are DEC and RAW. I would like to know these data types will be supported for the selection?

Hi Balachander,

I'm afraid that fields for data type DEC and RAW are not supported as selection fields.

You could check the detailed settings in the source system in table ROOSFIELD. The field SELECTION contains the information.
