Yes you can do that, you have to turn on the setting at customization for the area where you want, SAP to recalculate accumulated depreciation and use LSMW to load you asset data, and you will find SAP has recalculated the accumulated data for the marked depreciation area, if you still can find please let us know, I will point out the customization.

Hello Nishan Dev,
This is what I did, set the indicator "ON" for depreciation area where the business, want the system to recalculate, and used the legacy program which I was using earlier (LSMW) and it worked well, now we can see the system calculated the Accumulated depreciation.
thanks for sharing the thought.

hi Priya,
Please go to path,....
T.code --> OAYF
Asset Accounting -> Asset Data Transfer -> Specify Parameter for Data Transfer ---> Specify recalculation of accumulated depreciation ---- here activate dep. area for which recalculation is req.
Set this indicator if you want the system to newly calculate accumulated depreciation from past years during the legacy asset data transfer.
Then run the
Use T.Code: ARAF Recalculate Dep.
warm regards,
Rupesh
