ERP: consuption data & transfer to SAP F&R

Hello Everyone!

this is related to data transfer from SAP Retail to SAP F&R.

i know that SAP F&R requires historical consumption data. Variants for such a consumtion data could be: BI, Sap Retail or other OLTP system.

Unfortunately we do not have SAP BI, and thus, standard upload method does not work.

1) can anyone recommend the way of data upload from excel/Oracle BI in terms  of target location in F&R? (i.e. where the data finally should be posted, what the design of data should be - so that we could make the analogue upload)

2) in SAP retail there's a standard initial \delta upload (not indicated as "BI" related) : fre03/fre01 - with consumption data. does it mean the system takes all consumption from SAP Retail (only, w\o BI or other system involvement) and transfers to F&R? i.e. to transfer consumption via fre03 we do not need anything but SAP Retail data, is that correct understanding?

many thanks in advance,

Regards,

Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

ad 1

the load of consumption data should be done into the interface tables for time series /FRE/BIF_TSD. Qualifier 3000 is used for consumption data (4000 for stock data).

In case article/site combinations become newly F&R relevant but were already operated before, then historical consumption data is probably available within a BI (or another) system. Historical data has to be transferred once.

From that point in time on the consumptions of this location product needs to be transferred daily in case there is a consumption.

The system can identify per location if there was an update made today. This is done in table /FRE/FRPMID_SCHE with FRP sequence ID 91 ('Consumption Update'). For the relevant location the record in the table is updated when booking interface records (using the booking program /FRE/BIF_INB01). This requires that the accomplish flag (field /FRE/BIF-ACCOMPLISH) was set for one record of the relevant location (Excursus: for each product that has a consumption on a certain day, one record of qualifier 3000 needs to be created in /FRE/BIF_TSD. Ideally for the last record the accomplish flag is set. This flag does not only update table /FRE/FRPMID_SCHE it is also the trigger for the daily start of the dispatcher (FRP run) for this location (if time series interface customizing is maintained appropriately).

For the technial requirements of the interfaces in F&R see published documentation on SAP Service Marketplace

SAP Service Marketplace

--> SAP Support Portal

--> tab Help & Support

--> on the right side: search for: type in 'F&R API'

--> document SAP F&R 5.2 RFC API-Documentation is suggested for opening / downloading; this document is available for releases F&R 5.0 and F&R 5.1 as well

The initial load of consumption data from SAP BI or SAP ERP Retail are just 2 alternatives that F&R offers for flexibility reasons. Concerning the initial load of consumption data it doesn't make sense to combine both.

For daily consumption data, the consumptions can be transferred from SAP ERP Retail or SAP POS DM (which is an application of SAP BI)

Kind regards,

Rainer

Hi,

1) Use program /FRE/FU_TOOLS_TS_FILE_LOAD in SAP F&R to upload directly with specific key figures and target locations. The design of data and how you can upload can be read from program documentation.It was well written and anybody can able to do successfully.

2) If you want to transfer consumption from SAP RETAIL , you will have to do certain configurations with in SAP RETAIL to work with FRE03 & pick for SAP F&R. The article location needs to have the forecast replenishment type (replensihment procedure should be 'G')- And with this articles FRE03 will fetch from MVER table in SAP RETAIL with corresponding periodic indicators configured in article master maintenace like Daily,Weekly& monthly.

Nelluri.
