IDoc tunneling for certain Receivers, not for all.

Hi,

I want to do IDoc tunneling, but not for all IDocs/Receiver. At the SAP documentation there is only a central switch mentioned for all IDocs. Does anyone has an idea to solve this problem?

Regards, Werner

    Hallo Werner,

could you elaborate a bit more on your requirements? Do you mean, you want to transfer IDocs through XI without any changes to a receiver which is capable of receiving IDocs? For something like that, there is no switch, it just needs to be done via the "normal" configuration, but to tell you exactly what to do, we would need more info.

    Best regards

      Hallo Werner,

the documentation is not really useful here, so i had a quick look into the Sender IDoc adapter. From the source code it looks to me, that if the tunneling switch has been activated, IDocs are tunneled if no content based routing is used and no mapping has been configured. This can be seen in include LIDOC_ADAPTER_MBF02 form get_tunnel.

So if you activate the tunneling switch and configure your scenarios accordingly, it should be possible to achieve what you want. However there is no direct way to configure IDoc types per Sender for tunneling. Maybe you want to check that with SAP. It should not be a big problem to add another config table like IDXNOALE and include a select within the IDoc Sender Adapter.

      Best regards
