How does Basware AnyERP adapter connects with SAP ECC 6.0 for posting incoming vendor invoice

We are working for a client who has been using a little older version of Basware for scanning paper copy of vendor invoice and then posting them into SAP.

We are migrating that ECC 6.0 system to another ECC 6.0 system.

We are trying to figure out how the connectivity between the Basware AnyERP adapter and SAP works so that we can do the migration to new SAP system.

By doing the ST12 tracing,we could only find out the background user being used for this and the naming convention suggests that it is a RFC user.

But we don’t find any RFC destination on SAP side which is logical. That Destination may be maintained in Basware end.

Any documentation on where to see this in Basware and any experience you can share.

I'm not familiar with Basware but the way this usually works is that third party software providers build their own RFC adapters using the SAP RFC SDK. For connections inbound to SAP, no RFC destination is required - the necessary parameters are maintained in the configuration of the external software. To change the parameters to fit your new ECC system, you will have to consult the manual of the Basware solution. If that's not available, try a full text search for the host name, the background user you identified or the RFC port. Maybe it's just a simple configuration file.

    Hello Moderator,

We are also trying to connect our S/4 HANA system with Basware (SAAS) but didn't able to establish the connectivity. Do anyone have any pointers that could be a guideline for us too.
