Webi reports in Consumer pre-prod portal - getDocumentInfosMDP API Error ERR_WIS_30270

Dear Gurus,

We are using a Federated Portal Network, where the consumer portal acts as the FPN. The portal gets the BOBJ reports through the BO Launchpad. The webi reports work using BO Launchpad, but when they are run using the SAP NW Portal, we have the following issues: [Not all webi reports in the portal have issues, most of them work fine, except for some]

1. For some of the webi reports, we get a "Internal error occurred while calling 'getdocumentinfosmpd' API (ERR_WIS_30270) error message and the webi report keeps refreshing without running.

2. Some other webi reports get the "Unterminated String Constant - Object expected' error and fail to run.

3. For some other webi reports, we get a "An error has occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException" error message and the report fails to run.

We use BO 4.0 Version and SAP NW 7.02 SP6 Portal. We use Opendoc ID's from the BO launchpad and put the same docID in the portal to run these webi reports. All the webi reports run in BO Launchpad and the issue is in the Portal.

We face these issues in consumer preproduction portal but we don't get these errors in the consumer production portal yet. I believed this was a Portal issue and directed this question to the SCN SAP NW Portal community, but further research revealed this was a BOBJ Webi issue.

We are going live soon and the testers are having trouble testing these reports in the consumer preproduction portal because of these issue.

Please help me to resolve this issue. I have attached the screenshots for your reference. Points will be awarded.

Thanks in advance.

Please check with the opendocument function with the server IP as well(http://<serverip>:<port>/BOE/Opendoc...., and run the report, because it may have the DNS Issue while contacting the CMS Server Also check that internet explorer is running on IE7 or not(Recomended)

Goutham:

This looks like an Opendoc issue. Please test the link for the report which has error and find out the root cause.

Did any thing changes on the BOBJ server side - please check with your BO admin.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Rama. Off late, lots of migrations happened from dev to QA in BOBJ, and we believe this might be causing the issue.

Hello Goutham,

We are facing the same issue in displaying BO reports after SSO configuration.

Kindly share your solution for the above mentioned problem.

Thanks

There is definitely some problem with the open doc links. please test the links carefully. Post them here if possible.

Hi Karthik,

Thanks, but we don't use any opendocs link/URL, but use only the alphnumeric opendocID's for all the webi reports. As you might know, this opendoc ID is used to uniquely identify every webi report, and is used to run these reports.

So, we take the opendoc ID for the webi reports from BO launchpad, copy paste them into the opendoc ID field in iview settings in the portal, and run the reports in the portal.
