Logfile problem

Hallo,

i have the problem that my system created every minutes very big logfiles in the directory

/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/system

and

/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/archive

but i dont' know which application create this file

the names of this files are:

system

9318523 Jul 18 18:52 server.4.log

2336279 Jul 18 18:52 security.1.log

archive

%2Flog%2Fsystem%2Flogging.log1118156726748.zip

%2Flog%2Fsystem%2Flogging.log1118299929777.zip

%2Flog%2Fsystem%2Flogging.log1119594181764.zip

%2Flog%2Fsystem%2Flogging.log1119858554534.zip

Hi Thomas,

these are actually logs created by the system...you can control the logging level by going to the Log Configurator service, and on the category tab you will be able to find the associated categories for these to log files:

System > Security

System > Server

You can set these 2 categories (as well as any other category or location) to printout only messages with a higher severity level.

There is help on this at the SAP help web site, as well as this web site...just do a search for Log Conigurator service.
