Some doubts in BW

HI

1.Can the standard cubes be added with new objects inline with the new columns added in the source ERP tables

2. Can the Multiproviders which are already in place for cross functional reports gets automatically changed on change in the cubes based on point 1

3.Do u have a specific BBP (business blue print ) which we can start filing in ...

4. How to calculate the efforts for BW implementation .. any doc

please send me the answers as early as possible.

You need to make the changes in the dataflow and its a separate effort and you can plan it in advance and develop accordingly.

No you need to change them manually.

3.Do u have a specific BBP (business blue print ) which we can start filing in ...

Its project specific and there are lot of templates available online.

4. How to calculate the efforts for BW implementation .. any doc

as i said in point 3 search online no standard doc for estimates it depends on GAP analysis between standard content and custom requirement so if the GAP is big then you need more effort if its small content will be more useful.

HI,

ANS 1) For adding new fields to the cube, you need to add those fields to the Data Source and now pull the data from the tables.

2) New fields will not be added automatically, you will have to Assign the added Characteristics and key Figures explicitly in the display MultiProvider tab.

3)The blueprints are dependent on projects, for the templates, you can Google them.

4)There are no standard docs for calculating the efforts.
