Proportional monthly percentage

Hi all,

I need to get the % of each month that appears in a report. I mean, for each month, the sum of values included has to be 100%.

If I build the report and I put period in rows, it's been calculated ok:

But if I put period in columns (what is actually what customer wants), it's not working:

I've tried NODIM but it's not working, and searching on forums and other discussions I couldn't find any solution.

Can you help me with this? You'll be rewarded

Thanks!

Hi Alerto ,

Facing the same kind of problem.
But only different is % values are splitted as shown below.

Month1Month1Month2Month2
Month =>13-Nov13-Nov13-Dec13-DecOverall Result
CityCustomer CountCount %Customer CountCount %Customer CountCount %
Mumbai521.74%626.09%1147.82%
Delhi313.04%417.39%730.44%
Chennai28.70%313.04%521.74%
Total1043.48%1356.52%23100%

Whereas my requirement is to calculate % along each month (pl.find the given attachement)

Month1Month1Month2Month2
Month =>13-Nov13-Nov13-Dec13-DecOverall Result
CityCustomer CountCount %Customer CountCount %Customer CountCount %
Mumbai550%646.15%1147.82%
Delhi330%430.77%730.44%
Chennai220%323.08%521.74%
Total10100%13100%23

100%

Thanks in advance.

HI,

Try with above formula and keep Period in Column wise.

I have tested the same.

Hi,

Thanks, but formula is not the problem as when I put Period displayed in rows it's working fine (my formula is %CT , not %GT ).  If you put %GT it calculates % considering the whole report, not the column result.

My problem must be something with displaying format, but I don't know what.

HI,

You have suppressed results set of Characteristic (Period in your case). This is using %CT.

Yes, I did, and that's fine, I did it consciously.

Problem is that values are not being displayed when Period is in column (and showing X instead), while when Period is in rows they are displayed correctly.

Hi,

I think we are getting correct results in point of Percent share of Sub results( %CT).

Here I will show By adding Period at Columns side:

Rows side:

Both the results are same. Except that 'X' mark. That is technical limitation.
