Wrong number range for serial number profile in sales order

Hi all,

I would like to clarify on the number range for serial number profile. I have created an equipment category using OIET, number range in OIEN, assigned the serial number profile to equipment category in OIS2 and assigned the serial number profile in material master. During sales order creation, wheI tried to create serial number automatically (extras-technical objects), I am getting a serial number assigned automatically (2digits). But the serial number is not following the number range which I created in OIEN(8digits). Please help me to clarify. Thank you.
