Configuration errror for semi finished line item in the sales order

Dear Experts ,

I am trying to run the scenario by assigning the semi finished material material in the quotation and hence the sales order .

The material being the molten steel is semifinished product and non configurable Its is desired by a customer as finished product. The molten steel is non configurable but the finished product is configurable.

The material type is HALB However during saving the quotation the system is generating the following error:-

Configuration not possible for material 1400000000 : Reason 3 --> Help Message no. V1360 Diagnosis This may have been caused by one of the following: 1. The configuration profile for the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing. However, a plant has not been specified in the item. 2. The configuration profile of the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing, but the order quantity in the item must be greater than 0. 3. A configuration profile has not been maintained or 4. A configuration is not permitted for the material or 5 . The configuration profile of the material allows or requires the bill ofmaterials to be exploded during order processing. However, the system could not determine a date because important data is missing from the item (see incompletion log).

Please guide me as how can include the material in Quotations , Sales order without getting the configuration error for non-configurable semi finished product.
