Hello
Did any one of you used BW to better analyze R/3 performance history and trends?
I would like to extract R/3 collector information to create deep history and pre-define report on R/3 performance (dialog/batch/DB performance) and to co-operate the performance report into the IT portal.

Hi Erez,
Yes it is a good idea..You can do this by using Generic Data Extraction..First find out all the database tables used in this analysis..and Extract data using GDE...

If you are on 640, you can use business content objects to realize this. Check objects (cubes etc) under CCMS > Monitoring performance data>CPH).
CPH (Central Performance History) component in 640 has all the pieces which you can use to collect and report on performance data from any SAP system(s). You may want to check out the documentation at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cc/fe4c40aa6a0272e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
Customizing and Publishing the reports to EP shall be easy. There is a whole list of web reports available in the business content on this.
cheers,
Hi Erez,
You can analyze in BIW by using webreoprting then save it as a Iview and import it into EP...
you can use Information Broadcasting , So that you can keep results directly into the portal ..You need BW3.5 system for this..
Assign points , Upto your satisfaction level...
