dear experts,
we have recently installed sap b1 v8.8 in our branches, we connect to our license server via remote desktop access and open sap b1 in there.
here is how we do it:
1. open remote desktop connection
2. log-in via remote desktop
3. open sap business one
4. log-in sap b1 username and password
is there a way to configure the installed client in sap business one so that we dont need to use remote desktop access so it just goes like this?
1. open sap business one
2. log-in to sap b1
i have tried placing the ip address of the server but no avail.
please help,
thanks!
Hi,
I believe the branch is in the different place from the B1 server. You best choice to connect would be RDP. Otherwise, you may need Citrix Server. Those two methods are SAP supported remote connection routes.
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Carlo,
You can connect by using server IP address for Direct connection else go with Citrix Server.
You need to buy a license for Citrix. It will be an additional investment.

Hi
You need to bring all the machines and server to the same domain.
For that you need VPN ,which makes you to access server without RDP.
You need to purchase VPN licenses from its vendor.

Hi Joseph,
1st option:
Terminal Server is the simplest way to connect thru internet. you just need to configure the terminal services of your server. here are some doc for terminal Services config

Second Option:
Citrix

Hi Carlo..
You can do it definitely if you have Live IP/Static IP address and put it as IP address when try to connect to SAP.
Configure this Live IP to the server and be sure that Client Machine has internet access and here you can connect just like locally you are connecting..........
