Dear All,

My Scenario is - Carpet Sale

  • Carpet Roll have a batch number with UDF (Length and Width) for eg. Length=950 Width=12.01. Note Width never changes
  • When We sale the Carpet from roll we cut the length (for eg 250)
  1. My Question is how to update Carpet Remaining Value in Length UDF?
  2. How to show Carpet Cutting length in Delivery? Because Batch Selection window does not allow to change the batch attributes.
  3. Same Carpet Batch cutting transfer into different Warehouse shows the same Length and Width no matter you change it manually. Both shows the same.

Hi Tariq Syed,

Please user 'On Release Only ' option for Management Method on Item master data & When user creating the delivery order for the carpet Roll then Create the Batch. And also create the UDF Length & Width on Batch Screen.

Or create the 1 simple Addon for that to capture the temporary Batch Details. & When user actual sale the user create the Batch Name.

Rgds,

Hi Tariq,

I would re-assess your solution.
IMO, you should use 1 Batch represents 1 Roll. The length will be your Quantity. Since width is always the same, you can still keep it in your UDF.
Such a way, when you bought, the Qty = 950 Meter.
When you sell, your SO quantity will be 250 meter, thus in your inventory you still have this batch with the Qty = 950-250 = 700 meter.

Regards
Edy

Dear Edy,

Carpet Selling and Billing quantity is in Square Feet. (Lenth * Width = SqFt).
