message has errors on outbond sid

Hi all,

I'm working on a CCM(Catalog Content Management) scenario, which uses XI for uploading the files. The scenarion includes a Plain HTTP Adapter on the sender side and RFC Adapter on the sender side. Each and every configuration aspects are maintained properly. Yet I'm getting the error "Message has Errors on outbond sid" when sending a message to EBP. One strange thing, the message details (pipeline services)doesnt contain any error message, but on the messages display page of 'sxmb_moni', the A.Staus tab shows a 'Red flag' saying 'Message has Errors on outbond sid'. One more thing I would like to add, its XI 2.0. What does this "sid" mean?

Kindly help me in resolving. An early answer is very helpful.

Thanks for your attention,

Sreenivas.

Hi Sreeni,

Check whether your RFC started or not, not just initialized(since your using XI 2.0). If already started restart your RFC adapter.

Hopefully this could solve your error.

Sree,

I am bit confused. Your sender side uses the HTTP adapter and receiver uses the RFC adapter. Hopefully I am correct.

Howz your mapping?

And some times, If a message consisting of several payloads is transferred to the RFC Adapter by the integration server on the outbound side or with a synchronous call on the inbound side, it reports a system error, because it only expects exactly one payload.

these are the two immediate thoughts I got. Also, check the receiver RFC config just to make sure that everything is in place.

Thanks,

Srini

Hi Srini,

Thanks for your early reply. The mapping and everyting is working fine. The response payload is getting generated absoluetly fine. And moreover this is Asynchronous call.

Hi,

SID means the system ID

Check if you have followed the below steps, it may help to fix the issues

- configuring communication channel for Receiver using RFC Adapter

- configuring the RFC destination to recieving system

- configuring the Port in "this format" SAP<SID>

- configuring Logical system/Partner Profile in R/3

- setting the inbound parameters
