Unable to launch the application for ESR and ID

Hello Experts,

I am facing an issue while opening ESR and ID from java stack by clicking on ESR and ID link through Internet Explorer, it is giving the below error prompt  that Application Error : Unable to Launch Application.

I am using Java7 JRE and IE has been set as the default browser.

Pls Suggest.

Hi Santanu,

This is what worked for me:

Follow instructions to clear Java cache given here:

How do I clear the Java cache?

And then keeping 'Keep temporary files on my computer' Unchecked.

I am using JRE 1.8.0_91.

Hi ,

Replace the host name in the url with IP address and check . If your are facing any error then provide complete error message.

Eg:

http://<IP address>:<port>/dir/start/index.jsp

Hi All,

Except development and production systems; I am able to open ESR and ID for other systems using IE9 in Windowds 7 and JRE version is 7.

Please suggest..

was it working earlier and is it after JRE upgrade

or else retry, check the host file

Degrade the JRE version and check.

As was suggested by the poster above, you need to use J2SE 5.0.
