SAP GTS

Hi experts,

  I am working in SAP SD domain..and hold a Associate Certification in SAP SD. However, I am very eager to learn SAP GTS.!!

  I wanted to know the possible career options in SAP GTS, and also possible transitions from SD to GTS, because I have no domain experience in import export. I have a MBA in International Business.

hi mr.diwakar,

i hope there is no authorised institute for GTS training in india, just like u  i am GTS aspirant. u may find some local and unauthorised institues in hyd(in) teaching GTS by some real time GTS consultants.

for learning GTS- u need to have good sap sd background and GTS comprises of 65-70% sd related content and 30-35% mm related content. very few openings for GTS consultants in indian market.

just as i have worked in export house for 5 years and having a diploma in import and export procedures, and working knowledge in exim processes, u need to have similar core background for understanding the GTS concepts.

Can you please tell more about your domain experience before becoming an SAP SD consultant?

Does your project have the GTS implemented? or Do you have an option of internally moving to another project that has GTS?

Dear Sir,

  I was into sales & marketing in investment management and banking space. I worked for a bank and then worked for a Asset management Co.

My project has no GTS application implemented ...I wanted to learn SAP GTS because of my acute willingness..Also , wanted to know how can I break into a SAP GTS career, if there aren't any option in my current co.
