Hi,
we upload a flat file into BPS and prepare the data (currency conversions) for analyzing. When I execute the functions step by step all works fine and I can save the data into the cube ( request opens). When I execute my functions in a global planning sequenz the data didn*t save. And there is no request.
Have anyone an idea where we can banned the problem?
Any help will be appreciate,
Kind Regards,
Klaus
Hello Klaus,
I tested this scenario (file upload + other function in GPS) and it works fine. Obviously you must execute the GPS online and not in batch since background jobs do not have access to local PCs.
Check the message log of the GPS. Does the upload function process the right number of records (read/changed)?

Hi,
check a query on the cube to confirm the data. not necessary to have one request for each of your save. System has got a internal counter for each request (I guess it is 50000). Only upon it hits this counter, it closes the request and open a new one. As long as the current request have got sufficient buffer, it is saved under the same request. Check it out.

Nataraj.
Hi Nataraj,
thank you for your answer but there is no request in the cube. When I push the SaveButton there normally generate a programm to upload the data in the cube (probably). But when I execute the Global planing sequenz and push the Savebutton I got the message 'Data to be save' below without any savings.
Above there is an advice fronm Bernhard that the function still not work on local PC, or makes problem, which I will verify this week.
Best regards,
Klaus
Hi Marc,
the XTH_DATA comtents all fields as like in the upload file. We request only the posting periods for our uploading. The SID Tables are okay, too.
We execute five other functions as copy-, currency conversion- and delete function after the uploading then the the data will save into the cube. By executing the functions step by step the process works correct.
Have you any other idea?
Best regards,
Klaus
