Hello,
I am in process of system copy and during the import phase installation got hang while creating schema user. Any idea? Please advice.

So you used the export/import for system copy. Right?
Please give us your platform (OS, DB) info. Also the latest entries in the sapinst_dev.log file under Installation Dir
