Key figure with 8 decimals places and infocube only 3 places...

Hi BI experts

I have defined a key figure with 8 decimals places. When loading into PSA all 8 decimal places are shown.

If you load them further to a DSO or InfoCube it will show only 3 decimals places.

Where is it possible to influence this behaviour?

Thanks

Thomas

Hi AL

I need more than 3 places after the decimal point.

  • For an amount key figure or a quantity key figure, you may only change the number of characters before the decimal point and not the number of decimal places.

As described in note 460652 it is only possible for amount key figures before the decimal point.

Thanks

Hi Thomas,

I see two alternatives:

1. Introduce a new "number" key figure (e.g. of data type DEC) and store the currency key in a characteristic (of data type CHAR). Define your own domain according to Note 460652 to customize the new domain to meet your requirements in length and/or precision.

2. If only the precision is needed during calculations, you might consider to multiply the key figure with e.g. 1,000. Át the end divide the key figure by 1,000.

Best regards,

Sander

Hi Sander

Thanks for the explanaition.

I mixed some things up. I needed only to change a NUMC key figure to FLTP. Now it works.

I mixed it with an amount key figure.

Thanks

Thomas
