SAP Best Practice to crate genric datasource

Hello Experts,

We have requirement, where need to create the generic datasource on csutom table.

We have to create the Database view on custom table or can we directly use the custom directly table to create the datasource?

Which one is the best way to create view or dirctly use the table, as per SAP best practice.
