Error in Solman 7.1 SP5 Basic Configuration

Hi Experts,

We recently Changed our Solman Productive Client from 001 to new Client 200, which is client copy of 000.

We have also changed UME of Java Stack to Client 200.

Then we ran solman_setup on client 200, we are facing issue with "SM_INTERN_WS" User getting locked frequently.

We tried to resolve the issue by changing the password but still it is getting locked frequently.

We know that SM_INTERN_WS user is used for Internal Web Services Communication between solman ABAP and JAVA stack,

can anyone let us know how to resolve this issue?

Hi Ajay,

Have you ran Intial Configuration successfully where it will ask for all the standard users and roles.

Please run that step again and check.

Hi Jagadish,

We ran Initial Configuration as well as Basic Configuration.

But still the user is getting locked.

Please delete the user in the system . Then recreate by reruning the initial and Basis config.

I deleted the user as you said and recreated by running System Preparation but still user is getting locked.

Please run the trace against the user and let us identify the reason for the user getting locked .

Hi Bala,

I tried activating SM_INTERN_WS user trace in st01 but nothing is generated in trace log.

I am getting information screeen as " File end of performance trace file detected".

I have attached SM21 Log Screenshot.

Hi Christopher,

In the Solman setup--->System Preparation-->Create users.

We created user "SM_INTERN_W1" instead of standard user "SM_INTERN_WS".

Later we created the logical ports again in step Solman setup--->System Preparation-->Configure Connectivity-->Enable Web services.
