Access control list (ACL) Network activity issues

Former Member

Hi,

We have implemented the ACL for project systems, it was working properly up till the moment when we applied notes 1586970 and 1756116. This caused 2 new fields to be added to the ACL tab:

  • Inherited (flag)
  • Inherited from (project definition in our case)
  • Create

We ran the RPSACL_MIGRATE as the note recomended.

The ACL list its being added at the project definition level and flagged as "inherit ACL".

All the WBS elements, networks, and activities have the option "read all ACL" selected.

The problem is the ACL list travels all the way down in the structure but if we add a Group as an authorization object type, the activities wont read it. The structure owner can actually see the authorization group in the activity but if another user who is in the group try to access it, the sistem shows the message:

No authorization for Display Activity

Message no. CNPB009

There is no problem when the list consist only of users and not groups but that wouldn't be practical for the client.

Thank you for your time, hope you can help me.

Hi Pelayo,

The access control list is displayed on a new tab page for all PS object

You can specify whether the system should pass on access rights.

By choosing the menu option Delete Access Control List transaction

CNACLD.

Please review the following information in the online help concerning
the ACL functionality in Project System:
