Coding Mask Query

Hi Techies,

I have following issue on coding mask.

Initially I was having coding mask.

J.X.XXXX.XX.X.X.X.00

So Project/WBS with this coding mask is already in Quality.

No i have made changes to this coding mask as added one alpha numeric character in existing Code.

My point is it is not allowing to open my existing project in Quality then .

Actually coding mask allows to add in existing mask right?.but it is not working now.

J.X.XXXX.XX.XX.X.X.00

Scenario is we have uploaded around 52 project WBs using this coding mask J.X.XXXX.XX.X.X.X.00 using Easy cut over tool.This is suitable only if their are Nine contracts in projects.

Now for two projects now we have requirement to go next level as their are more contract in it, more than Nine contracts so we need to make changes in existing coding mask to accomodate this.

But after transport to Quality it is not allowing to open those projects which where created with earlier coding mask though we had added only one alpha neumeric field in existing coding mask only.(J.X.XXXX.XX.XX.X.X.00).

Are we missing any step or transporting sequence.

What can be the possible way out.?
