Working with Compounding infobjects in BEx

The customer wants to be able to drill down on infoobject LOCATION (Madrid etc)

without the SUBDIVISION on Location(A111 etc). SUBDIVISION is a compounding object of LOCATION.

I will try to explain with an (dummy) example:

Current situation:

Country Location Headcount

SP A111/Madrid 10

SP A112/Barcelona 20

SP A114/Madrid 4

Requested situation:

Country Location Headcount

SP Madrid 14

SP Barcelona 20

Is it possible to summarize the data on LOCATION without SUBDIVISION in BEX?Or do we have to add a new characteristic with a different key having only LOCATION?
