How to commit the current LUW in sap ABAP

Hi All,

Our Requirement:

We are creating projects and networks and changing their status using function modules.

If any thing goes wrong we need to send mail with errors.

The scenario is working fine when we are successful with creating and changing the status of projects and networks.

If any thing goes wrong while creating and changing projects and their status the sent mail commit work throwing dump.

Could any one let us know how to commit the current LUW (Logical unit of Work) in sap.
