COPA derivation rule error

Hi Experts,

I am getting an error with COPA derivation rule with Billling TYPE.

Diagnosis

Step 0021 Intra Company Sales

No entry in a derivation rule was found for the specified source fields.

The derivation rule was set up so that an error message appears when this happens.

The required derivation rule entry would need the following source fields:

Billing Type

ZIR2

Procedure

Create an entry in a derivation rule for these source field values. Make sure that entries exist for all the valid source field values. If the derivation should not always be carried out, you can also define a derivation rule so that no error message appears if a derivation rule entry does not exist.

Maintain entries

Maintain derivation strategy

Can anyone suggest on this?

Hi Srinivas ,

If the characteristic derivation step is not required for intra company sales ,you can exclude  that by entering billing type"ZIR2" under "condition" tab.

If it is required ,you should include the billing types in derivation rule.

Thanks for your response. But we are not even using Billing type field in source column of Characteristic deriivation. No issue with other billing orders. Why onlysome orders are getting strucked?

Can you provide us a screen shot of your derivation rule 0021 Inter Comp Sale and its rule values

For SAP Notes, you need to log on to service.sap.com/notes

Thanks Ajay, as of now we have 19 and 20 steps in Characteristic derivation. We dont have step 0021. If I want to create it in what are the fields to be mentioned in Source and Target columns.

Hello Srinivas,

In KEDR, goto View->Display All Steps (OR) Ctrl+F12, you should be able to see all steps. Apart from steps which you define, SAP also creates its own steps. By doing this, you will be able to see all the steps.

Check step no 0021 in that, if possible, provide us with the screenshot as asked by Ajay.

Hi

It seems you are using "Derivation rule" method in KEDR

Maintain the rule values in there for Bill Type ZIR2,.. Click on "Maintain rule values" button once you are inside your derivation rule

Thanks for your repaly. We are using COPA Characteristic derivation but dont have Billing Type in source field. Till date we didnt get any issue with this without billing type source field. I am not getting why it is now stoppoing the process.
