Hi,
Is there any possibility (support) to use WSS in SAP EP6 SP12? I want to prove that SAP EP can integrate some collaboration features using Windows Sharepoint Services directly in the SAP EP.
Simple url integration is not a good way, because I see the navigation of the Sharepoint site in my iView of the SAP EP. I'm interrested only in the central web part of the sharepoint site.
Is it possible to make it without the navigation things?
Is PDK for .Net the only chance?
Pls give me some advice,
Rado
Hi,
Sadly for you, Microsoft currently do not allow exposing of specific share point content (except for a small sample that was published in GotDotNet) in a standard way - WSRP (Web Service for Remote Portlets). If that wasn't the case then the portal could have consumed the WSRP service, since EP does support it. Maybe in the future...
So I see two options for you:
- use the iView catcher (URL iView) to point to the exact content that you want and format it. This might not work for all scenarios and present some authentication issues.
- use the PDK for .NET to directly consume WSS in the EP (like you would in an ASP.NET application).
Hope that answered your question,
Ofer

Hi all,
this problem can be solved with a new product of MS:
The WSS WebDAV Connector (aka "SharePoint WebDAV Connector, SWC) was released some days ago and a new Interoperability Section on Microsoft-sap.com is now live.
See http://www.microsoft-sap.com/technology.aspx --> SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) for the WSS WebDAV Connector.
Kind regards,
Robert Draken, Comma Soft AG.
