Run a Multi-Channel Campaign

Hi Gurus

Our client needs to be able to run multi channel campaigns for a fixed Target Group on an adhoc basis.

Therefore there will be one Campaign.

For each customer in the Target Group:

* If they have an Email Address, they will be sent an email directly out of CRM using a Mail Form

* If they have a Cell Phone number they will be sent an SMS via an export file process which is then processed in PI

So is it possible that the same BP may receive both an Email and SMS as part of the same campaign.

Is this possible and how is it done?

I've looked at Campaign Automation and this doesn't appear to suit this scenario.

    Hi Gurus

    I found that in the SPRO set-up for "Define Communication Medium" I can create a new method call "Email & SMS" and then set 2 Communication Methods (Internet Mail & File Export), but the system chooses one of the other based on the priority I've set. Is there any Badi which can be applied so that it uses both?

      Hi Kuruvella

      The settings for Parallel Campaign Execution appear to be more relevant for improving performance than multi-wave processing.

      could you explain some more about what I need to do to get the processing I need

    Hi Kumar

    Hope you are doing fine.

    To fulfill your client requirement,you have to configure these things.

    1. Select channel as Multi Channel while creating marketing campaign.

    2. In bp creation, there is a field named Srtandard communication method in Communication section, select the mediums as in your preference(eg: first bp should get a mail, or second preference would be he should get an sms if these two are not possible then he sholu get a phone call) .

    Have you solved this issue? We are about to implement a solution which looks a lot like the situation you descreibe and it would be a great help if you could explain how you solved the problem 😊

      Hi'

      Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, our users are not satisfied with that solution. That is why we are trying to implement Open Channel.

      We are using 2 different 3rd-part products to send mail and Letter.

      But thank you anyway.
