Hi,
i have an operation which can be performed in 20 drums or work centers , each work center has different capacity according to the size (large, medium, small). now, i have added all work centers performing the same operations in the routing. now, i have to apply selection condition (object dependencies), can any one please help how to built a check of operation quantity or order quantity with the help of reference characteristics?? OR is there any other way of doing so ?? (anything with Work center classification or anything)
thanks
Hi
Try below steps, and check whether you can achieve your requirement.
1. Create characteristic for work center, routing lot sizes from and to.
2. Maintain the variant table with the combination of routing lot size from and to and for particular combination assign the work center in the table.
3.Create a dependency net with this table and create constraint for the selection of required work center in the routing based on operation quantity.
You need to try this with variant configuration and i hope it can be achievable.
Refer below link for variant table and variant configuration

Hi
I do not feel you can achieve this with reference characteristic using operation quantity.
Instead you maintain work center, and lot size and use this in dependency net with constraint and assign to configuration profile and check.
Operation quantity is not used as reference quantity for table PLPO.

Thanks chetan, u r absolutely rite. It can be done but I m trying to do with selection condition as variant configuration is already on. And also there is another such operation in the same routing working the same way so I would have tzo maintain multiples of super routing nd that would be a big number for each material.

Dear,
1. Create different routings for the material based on the lot size.
2. Create a production version for each routing along with BOM.
3. Keep the BOM selection method as 3 (Selection only by production version) in MRP 4 of the HALB.
4. Take a MRP run, and the system will select appropriate production version (and hence routing) based on the lot size of planned order.
Hope this solves your querry.

Chetan
