Actual posting without Cost Elements

Hi Experts,

I am interested in knowing the impact it makes when performing actual costing to WBS elements through G/L accounts which does not have a refernce Cost Element. Keen on specially knowing the impact on Budgeting.

Hi Dileepa,

              From my understanding the impact of performing actual costing to WBS elements through G/L accounts which does not have a reference Cost Element would be that the data would not go from FI to CO and that would result in some inconsistencies.

As G/L is a part of FI and CE is a part of CO. So, logically by not maintaining cost elements into G/L we are not allowing data to flow into CO side.

This is as per my understanding. You can ask more about it from your FI/CO guy for better understanding.
