Serial number profile

Hi,

   How we will come to know which serial number profile we have to assign in material master like i am using raw materials by purchasing, Inhouse production materials etc.

Dear,

Please check the serial number assign to you material master for FERT and HALB it will be in work scheduling view  or sales view and for ROH check in  plant storage2 view as mostly raw material don't have sales and work scheduling view.

Or you can check for all material in MARC table field SERNP.

Dear,

Before assignment of serial number profile in material master, you should aware about its behaviour while performing any business transaction.

Please check the setting of Serial Number Profile in OIS2 where you can get more clarification about the Serialization Procedure allowed for your Serial number profile.
