Hello All

the customer changed his db server. we installed SAP B1 V 882 and also updated the Terminal server client. Users with old profiles cannot change the server to the new server destination. usres with new profiles have no propblem connecting to b1. we checked the config under the user profile. we cannot find any entry to change the settings.

Hi,

There is no problem if you  not changed Server IP. Otherwise you haveto check the

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf\b1-local-machine.xml  file of license server ip details..

Hi,

thanks for the hint but we already checked all the config entries.

Even after the deletion of the user profile the problem was not soved. The Windows terminal server saves sort of a snapshot of the program file under

C:\Users\{{{USERNAME}}}\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program
Files (x86)\SAP\SAP Business One\Conf\. We had to delete these entries to solve the problem.

Kind Regards

Hi Reinhard,

Are you trying to find a solution without deleting such entries under user profile? I don't think you have other options.

Thanks,

Hi Gordon,

I am aware of the fact that you have to adjust or delete entries in the user profile when you change a server but I have never heard of the necessity of deleting the virtual store entry in addition.

The strange thing was that we only had to delete these entries in the virtual store for the older profiles. The others worked fine without adjustments.

Each old user profile must be updated. The easiest way is by deleting and recreating. This is common way.
