In essence here is a summary:
The first 2 levels of the Planning Hierarchy are straightforward for us to identify (we already look at our products this way)
Below the first 2 levels…, life gets a bit more complicated
o Specific categories (potentially 3 to 4) that we may identify are not necessarily “either/or”…, there can be overlap…..
o In addition, we would like the flexibility to “look at our world from one of these 3 to 4” different ways at different times….
o Therefore, SKUs need to have multiple categories so that we could view them differently at times…..
Getting clarification on whether SAP has this flexibility will help in establishing the proposed hierarchies
o If SAP can, it opens up thoughts and potential categories….
o If SAP cannot…, we must constrain our thoughts and “force products into certain categories”…..
Is there a limitation on the number of levels that you can have in the Planning Hierarchy for Flexible Planning?
I am also trying to stack historical orders for viewing purposed in the planning table / view. I know you can do this via a macro in APO.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
