Transport ot text elements translation

Hi,

In SE63, I did translate some custom text elements of program SAPMP56T and able to save. But have no idea about how to transport these changes. While saving, I did not receive any prompt for transport request. I am working in SAP 4.6B and checked SE09 to find any transports created , but there was no transport related to translation.

Would appreciate help to resolve the issue.

Hi ,

In SE63 screen, u should go to menu

Translation -> Short Text -> Program text.

then the screen will come . In that screen u need to select the object and then in the transulation box

Source language as English

Target language as (Which ever u want)

then another frame will appear on the screen called transport recording. In that select use own transport and select ur transport.

I think this will be useful for u.

Thanks for your reply. I followed the same path , however I did not get transport recording frame/ screen. System I am working on is 4.6 B version.

I am not sure, why I am not getting transport recording, is it due to version or any settings need to be done.

PgmID Obj Object name

LIMU REPT Programname

Hi Ravi,

I am working in 4.6C.

I found that the transport frame is coming only for 5 target languages not for every thing.

They are :

German,

Spanish,

Portuguese,

Italian,

Dutch.

Even I don't know why it is not coming for other languages. Even I don't whether the popup will come for these five languages in 4.6B

Thanks for reply. If I create workbench request with LIMU REPT, I think it will be for text elements of program in EN language, but I need to transport text elements in EN as well FR language.

Is there any option for doing this in work bench request ?

Why don't you try to do it in this way ? I usually translate from En to BG.

Hi All,

Finally I found way to transport text elements translation. Login Source language, here say EN and then from SE38, text elements screen , click on menu Goto -> Translation

This will take to SE63 screen, you can translate and then click save icon in SE63. Then click on back button to return to SE38 text elements screen. Here again click on SAVE button and that is all. All translation in French also included in this transport. However when you saved text elements in SE38, the message you will get is misleading , it says text elements saved in EN language.

When I transported this request to QA system, French translation of text elements moved to QA system.

I think this is problem in older versions of SAP say 4.6b and backwards. In 4.6C onwards, you have Transport recording option in SE63 .

Hello,

I have some problem how to translate the text module in smartforms.

I am using Sap 4.7.

I did not find the option in se63, by which we can translate all the text modules used in a smartforms and how to transport it into the request.
