Hi Mohi,

Please review attached SAP notes:-

Also please check the parameters described in the note

Hi shrikant and saar dagan,

I have little knowledge of system admin i will just briefly explain you issue. When i go to tcode RZ10 and select instance(checking extended maintenance) and change and see there in icm/host_name_full = abc.xyz.in(this example not actual name).is this means that fqdn is given, then when using this in portal url (like http://abc.xyz.in:portno/irj) portal is not working.do we have do some configuration or setting or any activation at server side to make portal work on fqdn.portal is working with hostname only please just explain the process.it will be great help.

Mohi,

Start at the networking level to make sure that DNS can resolve to that FQDN. Ping the FQDN. Does it reply? Do an nslookup to see if the name lookup works.

You shouldn't have to do anything on the app side, but the name has to resolve properly.
