BW configuration problems

I've just finished the BW installation with the post installations instructions.

When trying to open the "Query Designer" I get a SYSTEM_FAILURE exception and a message "The SAP BW system must not be operated in client 000"

How can I create another client in the SAP GUI? Am I missing some configuration document after de "Post Installation of BW"?

Hi Javier,

What is the client # you are using for working in Backend. By default the Bex screen at first shows client 000. You need to use the same client as in the backend.

We can't use the Clients 000,011 and 066.They are reserved for SAP.There may be a problem with GUI Version also,SAPBEX.XLA and SAPBEX0.XLA must be installed to open the Query designer.Pls check all of them and try.

Hi,

You cannot work on client 000. You have to create another one and perform client copy.

Then you must set this client as default in profile (RZ10).
