IDOC to PI to EDI Scenario-997

Hi All,

We have a requirement where my SAP ECC system is sending a IDOC to 3rd party which is a EDI system.

so my Scenario is IDOC --> SAP PI--> 3rd Party(EDI).

My SAP PI will convert this IDOC xml to EDI format using AS2 adapter.

Once my 3rd party received this EDI message they will send back the Ack(EDI 997 ) message back to my PI system. which need to be passed to ECC.

Once ECC receive this message they will change the IDOC status to successful.

Please let me know how to work with this requirement.

1. Do we have to use BPM ?

2. what message type has to be used for sending Ack back to ECC.

if any one have any link for this interface please send me.

no, as long as you have the IDOC number or can get it in ECC somehow (on the basis of the transaction number, etc. ) you don't need a ccBPM

ALEAUD or SYSTAT (with systat you just need to put old IDOC number and status inside and it will change the status of the old IDOC),
