Hi Friends,

We are running on oracle 10.2.0.4 with windows 2008, now we are planning to upgrade to oracle 11.2

I have done oracle upgrade on standalone servers in past and every time I use to face problem with listner then i use to delete the listner and recreate it.

But this time I have to perform Oracle upgrade on windows 2008 cluster and also need to upgrade Oracle Fail Safe, well i have standard document form SAP on oracle upgrade,  But still wondering if any one of you done this recently can share your document and experiences like what issues you guys faced and what are things i should take into consideration etc..

As its a production server and its 24/7 business and I am getting only 4 hours of downtime i don't want to take any chances, so i request you all to share your document and experiences with me and help please.

You can send document on my email id abdultabrez@gmail.com

Thanks in advance

Thanks

Tabrayz

Hi Tabrayz,

You can upgrade to 11g directly. You didn't menitoed ECC release in your message but I suggest you upgrade kernel to 720 with latest patch level.

Yes, you can, but read the SAP notes recommended by the other friends.

>> is there any command to check the oracle fail safe version.

At OS level, open "Oracle Failsafe Manager" -> locate on the cluster name at the tree list -> Click on server tab at the right panel. Then you'll see the OFS version, here.
