Changed the location of Reginfo and Secinfo in GW and RFC communication failed

Hi Experts,

We made a change in the location of Reginfo and Secinfo file location we moved it to SYS directory and updated the profile parameter accordingly (instance profile).

Now 1 RFC has started failing for program not registered. We first registered it on the server it is defined (which was getting de-registered after a while so we registered it again through background command nohup *** & ), This solved the RFC communication on that Dialogue instance yet other Dialogue instances were not able to communicate on the RFC. We solved it by defining the RFC on MS. Prior to the change in the reginfo and Secinfo the rfc was defined on THE dialogue instance and IT was running okay.

Please assist me how this change fixed it ?

May be because

1. other servers had communication problem with that DI.

2. RFC had issue in getting registered on DI. As i suspect it should have been registered from Reginfo file rather than OS.

3. Someone played in between on reginfo file. (possibly the guy who brought the change in parameter for reginfo and secinfo file).

Please assist ASAP.
