SAP PI Multiple Instances

Former Member

Hello Experts

In our SAP PI landscape we have two instances of PI. IX0 & IX1. All the time one instance will be active and another system will be in passive mode(Inactive)

Developed objects will be migrated to both exvironments IX0 & IX1. But when we migrate to both instances Comm channels will be active in both systems and need to manually stop the channels.

Is there a way to automate a process to check the CC channels active on one System and to stop on other system.

Thanks

Hi,

>>>Is there a way to automate a process to check the CC channels active on one System and to stop on other system.

1. you can start stop channels using the admin servlet:

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2011/05/24/startstop-a-communication-channel...

2. you can make them inactive using directory API (all at once)

so yes - it's possible to automate this process,
