Appreicate  your input.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Vk,

some of the practices as below will help you in development of BODS job

  • Get Legacy data to stage data base tables
  • Implement transformation part  as per requirements (different DF's for data generation, transformation, validation, merge, format, lookups)
  • Filter the data as per requirements before getting into source stage table
  • Maintain separate data flows  with respective of their subject so it will be helpful to reuse
  • Create audit points on each data flow and insert them to audit tables
  • Keep fields in the required structure w.r.t data types and sequence before call any RFC/BAPI functions
  • Check for duplicated data . if any, select distinct option
  • If getting any errors from return status ,  reprocess them again
  • Raise manual exceptions with proper description, if there are any errors in return from SAP sys
  • Print Statistics points for records count (Audit points ) at the end of each job run
  • Implement Reconciliation report before job ends
  • Temp table should always check "Delete data from table before loading"
  • Permanent table with require selection on "Delete data from table before loading"

Thanks
