MD72 - Get more details

Hello,

We use configurable materials.

In MD61/MD62, we enter planned independent requirements on those configurable materials and we enter the usage probabilities on each options.

In MD72 we extract the usage probabilities we entered in MD61/MD62 but we need more informations and we don't know which tables to use.

MD72 : only characteristic descriptions are displayed but we need to get the data CAWN-ATWRT : But link the table CAWN to the result of MD72 is mystery.

do you have any solution ?

you have this answer , in MD61 or MD62 you are maintaining this probability against a specific characterstic and its value?

so you just need to compare result of MD72 with it.

even in MD72 if you have 3 lines with same discription due to shortage of length, it will same as you maintained sequence in planning profile and combination tables.

So if I undrestand your answer, I can not create a query in SAP ? I have to work with extract + excel files ?

the usage probability (Field EWAHR) is not a data stored in a table ?

Hello Greg,

How are these independent requirements created ? Field EWAHR has no direct link to any of the classsification/Configuration tables. It depends on what sort of requirements are they but either they will be stored in table MDSM or RESB. Both these tables should have a field CUOBJ which is generally the link to the conguration. With that CUOBJ , you can then use transaction CUTABLEINFO to look at the configuration data. If it is classification and you are looking for classification data ie characteristic description etc then that would take a lot of different things . You will need first extract the assignment via CUOBJ and then look at the characteristics assigned to it.

Please advise what are you looking for characteristic description or the configuration values assigned ?

I am not saying that you cant do it.

I am saying that you already have this information as you only provided this usage probability data into MD61 or MD62, so simple way would be to use this display and compare with extract.

If you want to write a program , you can explain this to your developer showing screens as well as using info provided by Amber in above post related to tables.

Hello Amber,

In MD61, we enter the configurable material and the quantities.

Also we have to click on the button : "Configuration Supporting Point" (CTRL + F11) to enter the usage probability on a couple of characteristic).

The usage probability is displayed in MD72.

We just want to get the full description in MD72 + the usage probability : we try to find the tables used in MD72 to be able to create our own query.

I can understand and agree that its not simple to get data related to VC.

from your explanation , what i nunderstand is you need to find characterstics & there respective values from MD72.

you can pass on characterstic discription to CABNT and find out the characterstic details like ATINN, pass it to CAWNT  and get the values deatils.

or

Explain to your programer by showing on system, go to material and find ouit the attached class in classification view, out of this class list out characterstics, there description  and there respective values. Compare it with the result of MD72.

But which table can I use to extract the characteristic having usage probabilities <> 0 % : the field name is EWAHR but the table is ????

From this first extract, I will try to link the results with the tables you listed : But the first extract is an issue 😞

Thanks for your help and the quick answer you provide.

Here are the details :

the length of our characteristic description is longer than 30 characters : If MD72, we can not get more than 30 characters even if we change the layout.

For a couple of options, the useful information is only at the end of the description and unfortunatly not displayed.

Example : We have 3 lines with description "Auto transformer Auto transfor" and only one with 100 %

that's why, we want to extract the characteristic data having usage probability different from 0% and get the key value : CAWN-ATWRT.
