You would have to create a new FM, something like

QEBR_FAILURE_VALUATION.

In config you create a new valuation rule, (probably a copy of rule 20) and assign the new FM.

Add the rule to a new Valuation mode. (using 200). Select the new valuation rule.

Assign the new valuation mode to a sampling procedure and assign to the MIC.

FM = Function module

I can't see in your control indicators if you have the box "defects recording" checked? You can't valuate against defects if you don't have it checked.

For what you want to do, yes. The exisitng FM SAP provides doesn't do the valution based on percentage as you stated you wanted to do. It does the valuation based on number of defects allowed, 1, 5, 10, whatever you deceide is appropriate. So to be based on percentage, yes.. you have to create your own FM.

Hello Craig ,

please review attached files ,

main purpose behind this exercise that system allow certain % or limit of defects inspection lot wise and when user enters more defects then system will give warning or error !

It appears to me you are using a quantitative characteristic with a spec range. That wouldn't use number of defects to be valuated, it uses a spec range. The FM that it appears you copied from specifically says under the TASK section

Acceptance decision for a qualitative inspection characteristic......

I also have no idea what other code changes you made in the FM.

hi

Thanks for your guidance. I created Qualitative mic & assigned general rejection defect and sample procedure is working in Qc plan

Actual problem here, user wants to record defects at inspection lot wise instead of MIC level means user will enter direct quantity of defects “ Defect type 9” at inspection lot

So system auto prompt a message that define limit is exceed at UD level.

In current circumstances defect percentage is associated with MIC not whole lot

System is not considering quantities of defects which are inserted direct and SAP is considering MIC’s defect which is defined at MIC level in catalog

Kindly advice

main requirements (inspection lot wise Defects quantities % and system auto intimate message on the basis of total defects entered by user at the time UD)
