WEBI report SUM function

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a WEBI report using a universe. I used a cross table and put a break. For the Y axis i put the Plant and for X axis i put Time. For the details i inserted Delivery value. After that when i go to analysis and try to put get some for each plant SUM function shows disabled. why is this?

does it happen also with the Administrator user as it might be an issue with rights assigned for the Webi application ?

Where do you put the break ?  If you dont put the break is the SUM activated ?

When you say 'you go to analysis' what do you mean ?

If I insert a column and then I try to add a SUM like it is shown in the jpg attached I get the same behavior but it is by design.

In my image I had a column inserted in your a row but the concept is the same.  It is not possible to insert SUM between rows or columns.

But as per my screenshot, i should be able to get SUM (subtotal) for each plant. Am i corect?

Hi Dhanuka,

I tested it on a sample universe Efashion:-

And it is working fine.

P.S :-  1.You first create cross tab

            2. Then Add the data as "Year" on vertical and "States" on horizontal columns , as per above example.

            3. Then create break on Year and then click on the details part, only then You can see the sum function enabled.

I have tested it on BO 3.1 and Yours is BO 4.0.... but approach would be same...

Hi Dhanuka,

Click in the cell above (the one you want to sum) and then the sum button should work and sum within each break in the cell you show highlighted.
