How to get the action of the Add button in a tuple table?

Dear all:

We are working with SAP MDM 7.1 SP09 and we want to get some information from the main table (material type) and send it to a field in a tuple table at the moment the user presses the Add tuple record button but I dont know if it's possible to do such thing, if we can manipulate the tuple buttons. Can somebody help us with this question?

I'm guessing it could be with JAVA API's, but how do we make the references to those buttons.

Thanking you,

Claudia

    Hi Claudia,

Yes such a thing is possible through a custom iview or page.

On click event of this ADD button,Java APIs can be called to complete the operation.

Please refer to this guide for operations on Tuple -

    Thanks,

    Hi Claudia,

In case you are using Import manager to Import your data, then you just need to clone the required field and map it to the tuple member field.

If you have already Imported the data, you can extract and reimport.

If you just want to run assignments, I have read that in SP09 assignments on tuple member fields are possible. Please check what are all the options available when you are writing an assignment on a tuple,. checck if you can refer a main table field while writing an assignment in tuple.

Else as said by Ravi, you can always go with java api's to fulfill your requirement.

    Rgds,

    Prasad

Thanks both for your answer! I think I missed one important detail. I want to manipulate the "Add" button ("Añadir") from a MDM webdynpro as you can see in the attached image. I've already the Java code to set the value in a tuple field but I don't know how to get the "Add" button event in the wrapper webdynpro.

Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

    Claudia
